Eruption

Basically my life erupted and I found myself homeless with my pets. I bounced around hotels for a couple of days then camped out with my mom for a couple till I got my new place. I moved my stuff in Saturday then Sunday another eruption.
Now unlike Nehza, I have applied my multi-ply thinking to my twitchy gut. I went out to dinner Saturday night with some friends and took my trusty Immodium with me. (I should get a marketing job there... Immodium - so you can fart with confidence!). So as soon as I felt that old familiar gurgle I took the 2 little green pills and didn't think about it again... till about 4am when I woke with a full stomach. So I start pacing back and forth to the bathroom waiting for the inevetable. So half an hour later my stomach is empty and that dreaded pain starts. 6 or 7 times before I have been sick like this. The pain builds and I have to barf to make it go away...on and on for 8 - 16 hours. Last time it was pancreatitis. So I called for a ride to the hospital where I spent my Sunday all messed up on narcotics and anti-emitics. One time I wake up and start puking in the garbage (bitch nurse wouldn't give me an emesis pan) while I start leaking out the other end, trapped in a fish bowl and tethered by my IV. I can't figure out where the call switch is and am trying to figure out how wipe with the paper towels and not my hospital gown all while caring in only the most disconnected way that everyone can see me...
So tactical training has been in the toilet along with my health and appetite. I managed to get a couple games in and should be back in full swing in a week or so.

  • I think it's probably best you concentrate on yourself right now, instead of chess. I wish you well.

  • Damn dude: get well soon!

Bad nurses can really make a hospital stay that much worse.
